Not surprising tho - that new Kontakt is superb! halion, EXS etc are all excellent too... never tried that Sampletank tho, but they promoted it like crazy... what's that other big s/w sampler called? 'freesampler' or something ?? i cant remember... anyone?

I'll stick to my S5000.The heck w/ the flavor/bit
rate of the month.I feel the ergonomix of the
5/6000 series w/ the screen/function key layout is
much better than the new Akais.Keep the Emu it's a
great sampler.B-sides the Akai 5/6000 has that
Akai sound and the Emu has that Emu warmth so
screw that marketing crap.Stick to your gunz.I
haven't bothered to look at the Z series but the
specs are a lil pristine for me.But then again i
still wish i had my S-950 12 bit and my Prophet
2000 12 bit.I would think the Z series would sound
like a computer sampler. No character of it's own
just another clon
