Hi
I've recently bought a tr 808 and am having a problem with the
pattern tempo. When i clear the patterns from memory and start
to re-program my own rhythms, the tempo seems to change
with some patterns, some play the same tempo and others have
different tempos. This is the same when synced up via midi sync
to a computer sequencer, which when changed to one of the
patterns with different tempos it all goes out of sync. I can't find
anything in the manual about clearing tempo information for
each pattern. If anyone can help me with this problem that
would be excellent.

tempo is set by the 2 Tempo control pots (amain and fine), is it the last-step setting or something to do with the second part?

have you got a manual? 808 patterns can have a pre-scale set and can incorporate a second part to achieve patterns longer than 16 steps

i never owned one, but a manual would be a good start. The manual is in our FILES section... just do a name search for '808'

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

Yeah, did you check the scaling for those patterns? Maybe you're just switching between 4/4 and 3/4 etc
