RE: Do you like this remix?
Ah, Clay! Bad spirit? Come on! OK, Clay, I'll be serious for the FIRST time since I've started using these forums. I was only joking. Joking. I think that people take this whole thing way too seriously, and I was making a joke. OK, so it wasn't a very good joke, but, come on, do you really think I'd call someone 'mister spinach tits' if I wanted to be serious? I disagree that I'm a bad spirit: British people have a weird capacity for wanting to make jokes about everything, and I guess I suffer a bit from that nationwide flaw.
As for my music, it's a joke too. I have absolutely zero musical ambition. I don't think it's that fantastic (though I do still enjoy both making it and listening to it) and, compared with the stuff I listen to by others (Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, Steely Dan, Chick Corea, among others, if you're interested) my songs are absolutely nothing. I make music for a hobby and, once I'd heard about this site, I thought I'd put some music on. Just out of interest.
I also believe (though it is only an opinion) that music played by men and women on instruments is infinitely superior to that which is programmed, so there will always be that flaw in what I make. You see, as much as I wish I could, I don't play any instruments.
Thanks, also, for what closely resembled a compliment of what I make. Perhaps if I hadn't chosen you as a random target you would have actually gone all the way and said it was good? Perhaps not. It doesn't really bother me.
Finally, notice how I haven't gone on any of the forums where you've been discussing politics. This is because I totally agree with your anti-Bush sentiments. In the UK, our media make us think that Americans are either obsessively pro-Bush gun-nuts or apathetic non-voting cretins. It is genuinely encouraging to see that that isn't the case. I did know already, but still, it's good that people who have the capacity vote Bush out (ie American citizens) are willing (a) to do it and (b) to talk about issues that many people over here seem to think Americans just 'don't understand'.
Finally, your music. I have never listened to it. I think I will now, just out of interest, and maybe even review it properly, instead of just slagging it off.
I listened to Jason J's songs, and found them absolutely lamentable. That's why I did the Jason forum.
You might now think I'm not such an arsehole. You might think worse of me now. It's really up to you. But just remember that it's all a JOKE.
