Is it normal for a mixing desk to get so hot that it burns your hand to touch it? My desk is positioned infront of my screen with a proximity of probably 6 inches. It constantly has the leads plugged into it and is usually on for around 4 hours at a time. This f***er gets seriously hot. Should I call the fire brigade or is it normal?

It's a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro. I bought it second hand too so I dont really know if the previous user had a problem with it. How can I get it checked out? Getting worried now.

well, I dunno, i'd be surprised if it was normal for it to be that hot - you'd have to get it checked by a tech basicaly
