I can't use Audiphile and Amplitube in cubase 5 in realtime - meaning I want to play and hear my guitar sound amped as I play, not after I record.
Can anyone help me on this?

Can't get it to work at all, or is it choppy? delayed? how fast is your computer? Amplitube is a bit of a beast of a plugin, it might be too much to run live at low buffer settings on your computer

it can be done - you need to use input monitoring combined with a selected Low latency/buffer setting on the audiophiles control panel applet

set the latency at about 512 or lower

go to the VST mixer

select an audio mixer channel/track

at the top there is a button oblong shaped which when you click/hold-down the mouse shows a selection of either L-INPUT or R-INPUT

select the required input - then click that button until it lights up (Lit)

the channel is then open/ON for listening to input

add insert or send effect and play - you should hear it

btw - you do NOt want to use 'direct monitoring' if listed in VST system/audio settings

kilo...

if you use input monitoring..then..doesnt that bypass the host entirely and just route the inputs to the outputs of the soundcard?
