Cubase audio
first excuse the ignorance i am dumb and have lost my cubase sx manual.
after years of programming in midi and halion, ive only just started getting my head round cubase audio.
i bascially have several channels of audio and am recording scratches straight in from my turntables. i record say an 8 bar recording and then cut individual scratches out of it, maybe 1 second bits out and copy and paste them to make a kinda scratch loop. Then I delete the rest of the 8 bar recording (the audio i dont need). What annoys me is when i double click the 1 second gap and the sample editor comes up all the other stuff i recorded is still there. My 1 sec clip is highlighted but the rest isnt and i cant cut or delete in the sample editor. Why??
how can i get rid of the unwanted audio in my recording, and keep just the 1 second bits that i have sequenced there. My audio pool and audio folder is full of unwanted wav file recording takes, i want to get rid of these but am scared that i will lose my painstakingly arranged composition by deleting the original wavs.
sorry if this dont make sence, hopefully some1 can help. cheers.
