not that i think it's soo special, i just recognise it from somewhere - the bass sound in "Ocean To Ocean" (Model 500). Is it DX7 ? en magic Atkins tune anyway.

I don't recognize the tune, but if it's an FM sound, chances are it's a DX100. That thing was Detroit's secret weapon for a LONG time. Still a great little tool.

yeah, there was a dx100 with an oberheim filter fitted in it - but yes, dx100 'solid bass' preset no doubt is what he's talking about

hmm maybe it is.
But to me it sounds a bit special, not same character like the analogs i've played. I still think it's dx, it feels like if you open the filter on that sound you'll hear those metallic FM overtones..
or?

dx by the sound of it..... sounds like the 'rubber-band' bass preset played a little too low down the scale
