Hi,

I've recently bought the DMX 6 FIRE 24/96 soundcard. I am running an Intel pentium 2.4, 256 RAM on Windows XP. I have a DVD-RW, Pioneer 'DVD-104 model'. The problem is that I keep on getting a funny noise when ANY disc is played in that drive it being either DVD, VCD or an Audio CD. I have change PCI slots, Re-installed Drivers but in vain.

PLEASE ADVISE ME ON ANY CHANGE THAT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

Please note that the noise changes (in pitch) when i change the buffer settings in the DMX control panel.

"I keep on getting a funny noise"

Can you describe it any better than that? I think fart sounds are funny, but not everyone agrees with me.

Also, have you tried turning off your computer monitor while listening to a CD? Sounds crazy, but try it...
