I'm looking to replace my old desktop system with a new laptop. However the laptop does not have a parallel port to attach a dongle and midi interface. Does anyone know whether I can still run my version of VST (v3.5 I think)on the new laptop without the dongle?

In a word.. NO! Cubase needs to see a dongle to run. But your should be able to fit a parallel port to yer laptop for not a lot of money
