WTF with black lacquer CDRs???
Can anyone tell me why black bottomed CDRs cause Wavelab 4 to NOT give me any option in the CDWriting speeds dropdown (its all blank) and any burns just get automatically done at 32x...
But other CDRs (Gold, blue etc.) makes WL4 give me a choice of speeds up to 16x only? (which is what I'd expect of WL4 and the generic MMC driver)
I got a LiteOn 48/24/48 drive, WL4 uses the MMC driver as the LiteOn isn't specifically detected, and although I wanna do my audio CD burns at between 2x & 8x only, these crazy speed burns still seem to work ok on most players.. (more luck than judgement I'd wager)
I'm more curious about why the different CDR types illicit such different responses from burning s/w
