y-y-yo this is werk related, ugh. Need decent
DVD ripping s/w for MAC so I can give the
boss a mpeg/avi/divx clip from offa this DVD.

Suggestions? please! And um, like this is a
store-bought DVD...aren't these things
copyguarded?!

Commercial DVDs tend to be CSS encrypted . hence the trial of the noregian teenager who wrote a utility called DeCSS (Decrypt CSS).

They are loads of tools for the pc to decrypt and rip DVDs on the net, don't know about MAC tho..

Unencrypting DVDs is probably illegal tho...

word Zazza thanks for the link. BTW there *is*
a mac version of DeCSS.

So I'm thinking I'll rip this for them and then
take a 6 month paid vacation, with the
understanding that I'd have no qualms calling
the FCC or whoever the f*ck to bust the whole
company for copyright infringement.
