happy new year from the philippine islands...my wife and son were out of town, i ended up getting blasted on wine with her brothers and setting off firecrackers until my right eardrum was throbbing, still cant hear right...but my monitors are balanced now

Picture pretty much captures the evening for me. Family and friends getting way too drunk together. Entirely too much food (deep fried turkey, glazed ham, enough spinach and artichoke dip to kill a horse...) and wine out the wazoo. Pack a bong here, pack a bong there, cigar.... nice...

As usual every other country on the planet managed a half decent new years eve celebration, then the tv news cuts to London. ha ha ha ha. How embarrasing was that !?

This was probably the first new years day in ages that I didn't spend completely CRACKED out on the couch watching infomercials and eating pizza! Stayed home with the kids this year and re-evaluated my attachment to intoxicants. It was a pretty good night. MUST BE GETTING OLD!!!

yep BJT - i'm in Oz for 12 months or so on holiday / working - will definately be checking out Melbourne at some point as lots of people have said exactly that - more chilled out & cosy music scene - but i've been in sydney for 3 weeks now and i'm having a pretty cool time here
