this is new blend. the bass reminds me of 'hairspray' dancing tremendously.is this the good kind, maarten?

been busy doing 3d lately. first spline via bicubic patch attempt. this shot is from testing the lateral movement on the evil big fish.. opens/closes mouth turns eyes, blinks, moves body in sine wave with amplitude and frequency automatable within script. it's for a rap video.. the last track ends with this rising highpass filter then the track hits from that with massive bass and makes you feel completely submerged as the submarine dings come in. i might see about getting part of the rap done by the fish (you can see the inside of it's eyeballs through it's mouth.. cool..

got some rocks going (sand's cool) little fish and some perfectly spherical crappy looking urchins.

and the big fish moves through the dapples, not a set pattern on the skin. easier and cooler since it's a nightmare fish. cool, heh heh

got robot going too.. has 4 wheel legs for swiveling/rolling, raises and lowers body.. arms are just a matter of tra4king points but that big fish there is composed of 4 patches, each 48 variables to keep track of.. it's a mess of figures.

thanks! the big fish should only be in a few shots, very rapid, so the lack of detail isn't important.

i might do one though with the submarine in it's lips (looks too mubh like a blunt) with it pursing it's lips repeatedly and the 'smoke' texture on it's skin streaming away from it's mouth as it inhales.. have to find out the bpm so i can sync head nods..

so the song sounds like crap?

To be honest I don't think this is your best track. It's good, but I think it's a little boring. Nice happy melody though. It reminds me of Larry Leisure Suit game music.

boring?!! it's completely gripping.. the velocity action in the bass.. the hat sound that slices back and forth like a hot wire or god's cosmic pizza slicer on your metal skull. you just weren't listening to the kick drum were you *sigh*

actually it's because you aren't listening to the words. they're like "it's alright, if it keeps you having fun, don't you know that it's nice, it's polite, to have fun" and the bassline is the robinson's golliwog with the upright that was in 'hairspray' dances and all he says is 'you better have fun, you better have fun' in an admonishing, half-threatening manner because he is the fun police. he is smiling and spinning the contra around and thrusting it out and slappnig the strings with an exaggerated motion, just the fingertips, and you can do these wild runs, mouth and eyes open, "look at me! look at me! don't you see? i'm a proper example of fun-having, do as i do or i will pass your case to my superiors. i work hard"

not that you should listen to it more, but that's the story. i've had it on repeat for three hours. seven.

Na, in all hounesty I liked much of it except for the too happy lines- but obviously, that's a matter of opinion.
