this is the best software compressor I have ever heard. It is smooth and only when you really push it to distort does it show it's digital nature. It came with my sonar xl upgrade.

i tried it on snare, percusion, bass, kicks and vocals. It made everything fit together nicly, and on the bus it was the best I have used. I mainly use the c1, and RCL from waves but this thing puts those to shame. It doesn't do expansion, but it has a brick wall limiter that doesn't cause the pump like the RCL. Very impressive though.

you've got to hear the one that comes with Wavelab 4.0, specifically, the preset "FM Broadcast" -slammin

I had the demo of 4.0 installed. I had some big glitches happening with it so I uninstalled it. I have 3.4installed . never noticed the new compressor when I was in 4.0. so have you used the compressor x as well?

na, i've not found a need to upgrade to 2.0, yet.
