does anyone know of a h/w sampler that can modulate loop start point and loop lengths using aftertouch/mod etc. like battery? boy does *that* put the I in your DM.

I suggested that to waldorfs attack(hw). Great tool. The new akai z4.z8 can w/ ak.sys. .....love that start point parameter in battery....

como se llama "ak. sys."? some control s/w for the new akai's. you can only access the parameter through s/w? that's couscous.

any sampler with a decent mod matrix can modulate start point of a smaple, don't know about loop lenght, you work out the loop point, and if you mess with it you won't have the zero crossing right. I can see why changing the lenght could be kool for taking a sustained note and goiing into one of those short sample stutters on a cadence. I'll see what my emu can do when I get home.

i think the _old_ ensoniqs have it (like the asr-10 would be the newest; the asr-x doesn't have it afaik). they all have transwave looping which is pretty cool too.

AFAIK, everything accessible in Ak.Sys is accessible from the panel, but I don't have a Z-series.
