okay...i've been here forever but this is the first 2 tunes i've put up. all comments will be appreciated but i already know the sound quality sux (and the reason for that) so comments pertaining to structure/composition will be more useful. but hey if you wanna slam the quality (AND give advice) that's good too. they're not quite done yet; i'm gonna add some fx, hits and maybe vocal hooks..

so have at it...here's to getting it out (your tracks) and moving on

Nice track! Like your drum-programming, mix seems actually quite good btw (as far as I can tell with these PC speakers / volume low at work though...)
Ohh, listen to the top one, dreambreaker something

yeah real nice (dreambreaks) I'm also on crappy speakers but the mix sound good to me.

perhaps a little more variation in the first part. maybe a little too smooth for too long. after two minutes...

I really like that little mellow-keys breakdown around 3:25, but I think the faster jungly drums should come in after the first breakdown rather than the second. it's a little bit of a let down when the 1/2 time beat comes back in, but I liked it a lot when the faster breaks skittered in at 4:16. cool how in the intro the drums are laid back but really hinting at jungle.

it's a real tasteful sound. actually, I can't wait to download this at home and hear it better. well done.

Neat! Who did the upright?

mix sounds TIGHT for MP3, man. serious.

I am listening to Dream Breaks right now..and..kinda lookin for that bass to stop and..you know...a break of some sort...already at 2minutes and its just sorta goin..

altho..with the latin feel to it...that style...it stays true to form...

gonna wait for this to finish and check the other shit. good job, man.

you said "heres to getting your stuff out there"?..well..heres ALSO to waiting til youre sure y ou have something to offer.

I can see this on Ubiquity.

whew...

i was getting ready to bail after putting this up
(or change identities)! actually i was gonna start
concentrating on my rock and roll for a
while..this solo bedroom thing is starting to get
to me..

maarten: thanks! even though im a guitarist i do
love beats and spend most of my time making them

knowa: yeah i was debating putting the jungle beat
earlier but i didn't want to rush things...i have
the same problem with my rock stuff

influx: upright courtesy of my roland r8m drum
module ;) also im going off the ganja for awhile
so i should have more breaks in my music

are you guys serious?? your stuff rocks!!!
(influx, maarten, bedwyr) knowa i haven't had the
pleasure of hearing yet..

oh shit don't listen to the other one...total cheese

mix sounded perfect!

as everyone else has said... a break should
have come in earlier.

all groovy, man!

very nice and all of what they said

nice to see that at some point (very soon actually) i'll be able to get most of my music right here at DT. keep up the good work.

and i do buy albums, not just dowload stuff.
(i like having something to read and look at, i'm that weird)

thank you you're too kind! so that's why i'm back
in the chart, on the strength of one vote...i
agree totally about finding most everything you
need here on dt, ive saved 26 tunes and
counting...if they were only hifi we wouldn't have
to buy in stores anymore

ugh...EMI Philippines not interested in
instrumental dance tracks from unknown artists

Nice swing to it....
I dig it.
Just cut a couple minutes off that intro.... :-) I have that same problem.

Good job. Keep 'em coming.

yeah that intro...the conversion process rendered
a lot of the stereo panning, fx stuff
inaudible..there's a semi-lead line in there too.
so the intro section should be a bit more
varied/interesting in the hifi version. also i
left room for a jazzy female vocal part (astrud
gilberto style). still looking for a singer...

My fellow Blue Jean Junkie,
Nice to hear your stuff online. I see were following similar paths.
Soon I might have come stuff of my own to post.
Heard Ziggy and the Spiders are splitting indefinitely.
Maybe we should form an electronic pact?
You'll hear from me soon...

Moray Eel
p.s. Screw EMI!

My thoughts...

Love the DnB flavors and wanted more of them

Really dig the trasition around 3:10

The bubbly stuff after 3:10 needs to be in the beginning, and it needs to be more random!

Lovin' the vibe around 3:40... this should go longer

weird and beautiful at 4:00

"bring in the break earlier" and all that but what I want more is random FX. Just record some crazy bubbly sounds live and take a good 4 measures and loop it for a section and then change it for another section or something like that. I'm always wanting more variation.

Really good track. I'm sure the lofi does it no justice.

Listening to the second track. The bassline is cool. I really liked how the track started. I like those dreamy spacey things that take me places that are familiar once I'm there. The change at 2:45 or thereabouts is nice. At 3:30 too. The changes are musical and smooth if that's something you're looking for feedback on. The change into d'n'b works too. I would've liked things to start happening earlier on. Yea the d'n'b thing is real nice. Cool track. Like the sounds. Excellent stuff.
