I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

so flattening the 3rd to a 2nd an octave up makes it a ninth, right? trying to picture this on a fretboard...I can play all sorts of good jazzy stuff on guitar but my knowledge is so dumb like, the "Count Basie 7th" and the "Burt Bacharach maj 7th". boy do I have time on my hands today...

r 3rd 5th 7th 9th 11th 13th

in that order, the 7th is dominant not major.

i don't think it matters where you play them. if it does matter, i don't care ;)

minor 9th voicings on guitar aren't all that nice.

remember flat/minor 3rd; dominant 7th; 9th (which is kind of like an added 2nd)

you can see how the chord is related to minor 7th sus.2 chords; and m7(add.9)

have a look at the guitar forum for fretboard.
