i've read the reviews and know that the virus is available in a rack, desktop and keyboard version, i know the indigo is a mini keyboard so what is the difference between them do they sound exactly the same but ones got blue lights?

VirusB (desktop) and Indigo have exactly the same sound engine.
The rack is a kind of lite version with less FX one oscillator less per voice etc.

keyboard is the same too, so its indigo, KB, and desktop are all the exact same thing

they seem awfully sneaky in there ads trying to hide that fact (about the rack having a lesser engine)
