mostly i like 2 create trax in midi then convert to audio. however more & more i wanna just work with the wav's themselves. i use vst5 on the pc & want more control of audio.

u know the midi editors ... i think its the list editor. u open up a part & new screen splits into 2 halves. right screen shows midi notes on a grid.
left screen shows the note info like, key/start/stop/length etc.

just by looking at this screen u can see all the timing info. can u do this with audio as i cant find it.

i open an audio part & up come the wav's in all their waveform glory. however i cant see when each sample starts. i have click on it, keep the button pressed it, & the mouse very still & wait for the "position box" (or wotever its called) to change to the sample position.

can i get the more info like i can wiv midi?

cheers,
tone

well the edit audio window in vst should show all thwe timing info for bars etc or smpte time etc depending on choice but it defaults to bars & beats.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
