i need a drum machine for hard house/trance and i've been looking to get the ER-1 which is basically exactly what i need, but then i tried out the new EM-1 and liked the drums on it a lot, but i couldnt really tell if they wer different then the ones on the ER-1. I was told that the drums on the EM-1 are much better and harder. Is this true? Thje thing is that i dont need the analog sounds on the EM-1 at all. All I need is the drums, so is it worth it to spend an extra $100 to get the drums of the EM-1?

what im asking is are the drums in the EM-1 better then the drums in the ER-1 and is it worth it to spend the extra mponey on the EM-1 if i'm only gonn abe using the drums sounds?

thanx in advance

sampler mate - trust me - just get a sampler, old s1000/s950 s1100 etc or even cheaper 12 bit like s330/550, emax etc... it'll be better as you'll have endless drums and greater performance than from a drumbox if you dont need any sequencing features & realtime 'analog' style tweaking abilities.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

A sampler would be a great tool for you. I'm not sure but since you are looking at the electribes, their ES-1 seems to be alright. I've only heard good things about it.
