I've got a Mackie 1604VLZ Pro. I've got it hooked up to a TC Electronics G-Force (among other things). I've noticed a strange crackling sound when turning the Auz Return 1 pot. The noise disappears once I've turned it about 75% up. The noise sounds like the crackling you sometimesget when you adjust volume on your stereo. Any idea what might be causing it? I've written Mackie, but no reply yet.

its called dirt. pot needs to be cleaned or replaced

OR it could be in the jack or on the cable
