I play drums in a techno based live pa, and belive it or not I have just started messing around with my handy little seqencer. So my qustion begain when I wanted to sequence my roland SPD-20 with my V drum TD-10 brain. I wanted to sequence the spd while the v drums (also sequenced) added a little texture to the beat. But both since being percussion units were tuned to midi channel 10. Ok problem solved simply set the basic channel of the spd to 5 instead.

So for that particular song this worked great. But their are some other tracks on which I would like to play my spd with the v drum pads and layer the sounds. only now I can't do that because the blasted spd is set to channel five. IS their a way to have the best of both worlds?

I can't find out how I can get my Vdrums to send note #'s out on ch.5 with out going into the global settings. It's pretty hard to do that kind of editing when you in the middle of a mix.

Thanks for you time, Ryan

ps, this is my first post and I have to say this site is way cool!

peace
