what tricks do all of you use to make drums, fuller, fatter....better?

I've noticed that putting the right delay on drums almost always makes the mix better... It takes a while to see how loud to make the delay, how long to delay, filters, etc... But it almost always makes the drums better, even if it's sub-audio...

I suppose taking an eq and beefing up the lows, and hi's is usually done...

thing is, with my kit, I'm forced to use a kind of limited pallette of drum sounds, and I can't really put different reverb on em...

what processing do you use?

do huge drums usually come from huge samples, or are they processed that way? (yes I realize these aren't exactly exclusive?)
