So far as I can tell, its a docking machine for other SY1000XG PLG cards so you can have more than one card plugged in at once with lots of D/A converters. Optionally you can route the output from the SY1K's DSP2416 socket to the converters. Not much use unless you've got lots of PLG cards or you want a really expensive D/A box; I really wish they'd release more PLG cards.
