I've got one of the DX7 plug-in cards for the SW1000XG sound card. On the web are loads of new DX7 sounds but I can't find a way of getting them into the card. The bundled copy of XGWorks will only read 'Cartridge' files and won't read Sysex files.

Any suggestions folks?

I'm not sure that I can. I'll have a play.

I incidentally, I asked the same question to Yamaha support two weeks ago and I still haven't had any reply....sigh !

it's a universal problem with all industries - anyways, you must be able to address the dx synth via a driver right?.. cos like you want to be able to select it for a sequencer track output.. ok, so open your sequencer, load in the midifile then send it out to the card.. what sequencer you use ??

I'm using both XGworks 3.0 and also Cubase Score.

Cubase is a waste of time because its' XG support is minimal.

And XGworks doesn't seem to be able to read standard Sysex files. Sigh....
