I was wondering if any of the common multi fx's out there have some unusual effects on them....

there's no mention of anything unusual (that is, over and above flange/pitch shift, etc..) in the ads for the Lexicon MPX's or the digitechs S-xxx's...

I did notice some odd fx for the Zoom RFX-2000.... anyone have this?

any comments welcome...
thanks!

You could try the Zoom 1201. It's dirt cheap and has plenty of weird effects (dynamic filters, ring modulator, pitch delay, vocoder, lo-fi fx)

It doesn't have midi or XLR-connections but it's awesome value for the money. Even the noise level is bearable for something that costs so little.

Every studio should have one (or 4)

the boss se-50 and se-70 have a lot of strange stuff too, as well as the new vf-1; se-50s are very cheap, se-70s and vf-1s not as much so. apparently some of the older rolands (like the rsp-550?) might have had vocoders on them too.

you can get some strange effects out of a nord micromodular....

1201/1204 are definitely the cheapest of these, but i haven't heard them.

beyond that you're probably going to the high-end TC/Eventide boxes.....
