Does any one have experience with the tascam tmd1000 mixer

Errata has one. The catch is that they've got only 8 analog ins, the other 8 are in T/DIF. If you've got a Tascam multitrack, great, if not, you'll need the T/DIF to analog converter in order to get 16 analog ins on it.

Yes the TDM1000 are being blow out all over the Country , but the Fostex VM200 are also being blow out at $700 and they include ADAT connect and SPDIF (no need to buy separately) .

Here are some details :

8 analogue inputs ch 1-8 (4 balanced XLR with +48V phantom power) plus 4 inserts, 2 track in
8 digital inputs (ch 9-16) via ADAT optical
20 inputs in remix (8 analogue, 8 ADAT optical plus effects return ch 17-20)
