you take the egg beater and....oops, wrong mixing (hahahaha) if you mean lilke turntable style mixing, check out www.turntablism.com (i may have misspelled that) i havent been theree in a while, but it used to be an awesome site.....if you mean like mixing at a board...you move one potentiometer up, and another one down until it all sounds good

Same quandry, same ignorance....but I'll qualify this....I want to mix CDs on my cheap-o Mitsumi duper. The adaptec SOFTware that came w/ it (4.0) just won't let me mix trax (or so I've found out), I can't get away from the 2 second gap between trax, PLUS no loops or effects to bridge, no fades to segue. I don't want to plop down a forune on cakewalk (these CDs are for friends, I don't need a PROfessional mix, y'know). I just want to know if I can mix a half-way decent CD and if there's any freeware to help me supplement my EZ CD Creator 4.0.

Thanks for goin'ez on the newbie....

2 beatmix, you`ll need some kind of pitch control unless all your records r exactly the same tempo (unlikely)...........how were u planning on doing it on one cd player anyway? U could just play each tune into your h/d and then cut n paste em at appropriate moments 4 a kind of dropmix feel 2 the proceedings.........

grab the cool-edit pro demo from the FILES section here - it is a great free editor - read the review page (PC SECTION/S/WARE) as to how to use it for free - and you can then create your linear mix, cross-fades etc - then bounce it to audio cd s/w as a long stereo track and add your track points/markers etc
