I have an old 2meg FZ1, and a 10M. I use them simultaneously for projects that need a full minute (sort of) of sample time.
When my FZ10M is fully loaded with 2megs of sounds
(I use bank dumps, mostly), I have no problem
saving them to two HD discs. However, when I
later need to load these same two-disc files
back to the 10M, the 10M
refuses to load the "part two" disc, saying "disc
not ready". This happens regardless of whether the
discs were formatted on the FZ1 or the FZ10M.
(The FZ1, thankfully, has so far not had this problem)
I therefore am always having to limit the
size of my banks,
Does this mean my 10M disc drive is starting to die?-- If so--
Can I easily get a parallel printer cable,
connect the two machines and dump from the machine
with the one good drive?
Thanks.
