When we switched on our FZ this eve.
The screen lit up but went blank.
The red 'modify'light is on but the rest of it don't work.
Can anyone help before I throw it onto the busy road out front?

Is the entire unit dead or just the screen (ie. will it still load sounds etc...?) I may be that the LCD display has gone kaput. I have a FZ-10m that the LCD backlight burned out on. I can still read the words but only in good light. Unfortunately Casio long ago stopped producing these displays and also has none left in stock. There is a repair place called CMOS Electronics (USA 717-736-6525) that had a complete display unit in stock a of a month ago. You may want to contact them if this is indeed your problem. (I could also just be a disconnected wire etc...) Good luck.
