I bought one of these a few months ago for my P233 laptop. Now I've just changed from win95 to 98 amd am now using VST 3.7. When I have both the internal (yamaha) soundcard and the 8710 running, I get loads of hissy noise when I try to record direct audio into Cubase, but it's fine when I unplug the 8710 from the pcmcia port. Any suggestions. Or if you need to know how the soundfont stuff works with this card I am moderately expert at it (after pulling my hair out for six weeks)!
