greetings,
Anyone here have an Ensoniq/Creative Audio PCI?

I am trying to process (resample) a track through some outboard gear (Ensoniq dp/4 - screw directX even on a PII/300)

anyway, the mixer app won't let me record from the line-in unless line-in is being monitored.

i.e.
wav playback channel is enabled
line-in (aux) record selected.

result: nothing - unless I enable line-in monitoring.

Problem is that due to the circular signal route this results in the worst feedback every imagined.

Anyone else able to record from aux without monitoring it or do I have to throw this card away?

p.s. system is NT4 tho same in w95 I think. I just upgraded to latest drivers as well, didn't help.

kim.
