Hi,

Is there any card that actually has a fully functional sampler on board that any of you can honestly recommend? It appears there are many cards that have these features, but noone is hapopy with their purchases. Should I just go for a Gina and get an outboard sampler?

I say Gina and outboard! But maybe that's because that's what I use...

Money solves most problems... I don't like it, but that's the truth! Spend as much money as you're willing to spend and see what you get for it. I think I'll start saving money for a Creamware Scope...

Terratec EWS64 - its kind of complex and fiddly to use but the sampler software looks like its finishing soon .... so far its on v 0.93 which allows you to use stereo samples up to half a meg in size.
I was kind of pissed off with it at first but now its growing on me. It can take up to 64mb too -I use 32 mb.

Yeah - theres the pinacle too which I think uses 20bit A/D compared to TTec's 18 bit.

The choice is yours!

Remember though - if a little thing goes wrong with your PC then your 'virtual' studio could become useless - outboard gear is a LOT more reeliable.
