I was wondering which akai (s2800 or s1100) was better for sampling keyboard riffs (like the prophecy for example).

if you get a fully expanded 1100, it'll give you double the sampling time as it can accept double the ram - so you'll get more riff's/time - otherwise they are pretty much the same - you can still get the upgrade ram boards for these, but they are soooo expensive compared to simms - so if you get either, make sure they are fully rammed up - or look at an s2000 which takes simms
