Yup. You should see how bent out of shape my Mom gets when I tell her I think they should remove "under God" from the pledge of allegience.

There's a lot of religious nuts out there. Fortunately, if you stick to east cost or west coast cities I think you drastically cut down on that kind of thing.

It usually goes along with "dueling banjos" in my experience :P

yeah been following this one for a while- not b/c any
big interest on my part, it's just been in the news a lot.

So I believe today they finally moved it- it's actually
kinda small; pedestal w/ 10 commandments on it. the
pro-monument protesters are STILL there tho, just like,
sitting around praying and stuff, speaking in tongues,
firing high powered rifles at abortion doctors, that sort
of thing.

Here, I linked the story from my yahoo page, sorry for
the corporate bias and all.

...i think they moved it to the lunchroom. hmmm, I guess
it'll make a nice cutting board, ha!

well we have the same in UK... That little girl was killed by those religious nuts down at the 'temple' in the Elephant & Castle in London. Well, basicaly they dragged her out each week in front of the congregation, each week looking more emaciated and more damaged and no-one did jack-shit about it. Same crap, they thought she had some 'evil spirit' in her, and the coroners report found fag burns etc & various other damage on her body, plus they starved her.

I dunno... it's sick... and it's always when you check it some loopy church name like 'The Church of the Born again Seraphim Witchfinders' or some such crap.

Years ago I emptied my wank tanks over a photo of jesus. If ever any religious nuts ring my doorbell and try preaching gods word to me I simply pull out the photo and say "thats my harry, I wanked over jesus because his a c*nt and takes it up the rusty, dry."
