well i searched and it's only been mentioned on DT once, so...

If you haven't checked out Soma FM, you really should. Hands down the highest-quality, most reliable, best mix of streaming music on the planet. You can literally click it for a party and just let it go, it's that good. Anyway, just thought I should mention it...

I don't copy music, I just stream it in ~5 MB chunks into my 'buffer' (a 200 gig hard drive) then onto my audio system.

The buffer is useful because I can rewind the playback if at any point I fail to have listened to my entire music collection.

I can then also stream music into my car via TCP/IP/CD packets....

Ah so you got StreamRipper also, eh? I don't understand how that's any different from taping the radio to listen to later (which, as far as I know, is perfectly legal). It all depends on your actual use of the recording innit?
