Influx; I genuinely have no idea whether I think simething sounds good or bad by the time I've heard it a hundred times. I was genuinely clueless as to whether posting "Are you stupid?" would get me a "Who are you trying to kid?" response. Maybe I'll learn the skill of being able to judge my own stuff fairly.

Knowa; Thanks for this practical advice which is what I was hoping for .. BUT what does mapping velocity to filter involve? Map key velocity to filter res or filter cutoff or something else?

cutoff is what I meant...just vary the sound somehow. I know what you mean about not knowing if things are good or bad after you've heard them too many times. save it and come back to it.
