RE: Wut
Only listened halfway before my connection crapped out, but here goes...
About :50 into it I wanted a bigger build. Just me.
Great heavy sound at 1:30
Really liked the melody at 2:30. But the one after it (circa 2:40) was cheese... smoked gouda, I believe.
I was ravin' at 3:10!
The problem is timing. This is a clubber, so it needs to build a LOT more slowly than it does. I don't go to clubs much, but I can tell that I need more room in each section to shake my ass, you know? There's perhaps a few too many sections to this piece. Is it two tunes? It almost sounds like a "motif test," i.e. "Here's a bunch of ideas I came up with recently," which is something I'm a bit of a whore at.
I LOVE the the sycopated, rolling feel of your rhythms. This kind of tracks BEGS for some cuts. Try dropping out individual drums in little parts (really change it up... drop and eighth in the hat here, a snare there, kicks in spurts) As long as it makes sense musically, it will only add to the re-listenability of the track. I love when I can't predict what's coming up. This kind of track is PERFECT for some alarming breaks.
Love it man, I can see your progression as a producer as well. Continue...
