yup...... this isnt like 'numbr 1 winner', it's one of 3 winners ok... So, one is picked, 2 more to go -

basicaly, it's banging, it's different and very distinctive... if you check what he's made the tracks with it's fairly cheap kit.
pc...750 mhz amd...320mb ram...20gb hd... clabs soundblaster livedrive with emu aps driver cubase vst 32 5.1 stuffed with vsti`s and effects, soundforge, reaktor, sync modular, vaz modular, v sampler, quadrasid, rmf, basstation(controller keyboard), ensoniq esq m(synth), dx7(synth), dr 660(drum machine).
but the care and attention that's gone into making the tracks is intense, and despite all the wild and wacky cutups stuff and slewing effects etc everything drops perfectly on the timing, with excellent 'anticipation'..... it's pretty out there, and we kinda liked that... it's 'him' when you here it, not anyone else, no cloning, and no sitting around whining cos he aint got tons of gear... despite all that he's got busy and done something interesting, original and creative even if it's more banging than most peoples taste mebbe...
it's got character and even some tongue in cheek humour at times
- basicaly when you listen to it, you can hear someone has spent along time crafting it all together with a defined idea of exactly what they want to hear and has had to make edit descisions, not just waiting till the end to 'make it all fit'... he's purposefuly created those edits and fx and put it all together with a defined idea of where he's heading for... well mixed, balanced well etc.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
