I didn't realise how close the camera's would actually be to all the action. I realise that technology has advanced since the last Gulf war but "wow", it really brings the destruction to your front door. We are also hearing, on the evening news, reporters who are actually advancing with the front line troops. War TV is scary.

Don't be fooled dude. They're only showing what they want you to see. And believe me, they don't show what the reality of war really looks like.
They're trying to put it across like it's some kinda John Wayne thing.
Journalists have been at the front line for every war. This is nothing new (even if they had to disguise themselves to do it)

go to www.ogrish.com (there's loads of others as well) and troll through their archives for the war pictures if you want to see what they won't show on happy happy TV land.

Yeah its frightening. What I find even scarier is channel 46 CNbc. Its the stock market/business report channel. They have a big logo on the screen that says "The Price of War" The U.S. stock market went up 900 points last week after Bush said we were definately going to war. Markets in other parts of the world went up too. If you watch you can get daily updated financial advise from brokers and analysts on how to adjust your portfolio to maximize profits. If the free market represents the collective conscience of millions of consumers and the and the market goes up I guess that means that "war is good." SCARY!!!!

It's sick. The worst catastrophe that happens to people and the wall street crowd is licking their chops and rubbing their greedy little hands together.
