what'd you think then? - i was rather dissapointed myself, good supporting cast tho (apart from the girl who was a bit weak) but the oddest thing was, that wether Eminem was watching his mom getting attacked, seeing his girl getting humped by someone else & beating the guy, cumming up his girl in the factory warehouse or beating beaten up by a gang of baddies or wether doing anything else for that matter he just had the same expression on his face...

I kinda think it was like a sort of old James Dean type 'soft-reality' rebel film so it'd get a low PG rating and all the kiddies could go and see it with their mums.

when the guy (biscuit) shot himelf in the leg tho I bust out laughing loud in the cinema - I love the way those rapper guys hold a gun i movies... kinda like it's a realy smelly sock they are holding out at maximum arms length... it's a wonder they hit anything.

Personaly I wanted to see more of the 'story', how he got signed and some of that early stuff and less of the 'boo hoo i live in a trailer' shit.

did it do it for you?

Yer, I saw it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was well shabby. I was very disappointed.

Where was the plot? How many cliches were there?

I thought Marshall Matthers was quite good but everyone else was weak.

I give it 4 out of 10.

Didnt see it, but its funny that he grew up in burmingham michigan (really nice) and got a brand new mustang cobra or something for his 16 birthday...supposedly he just moved into the trailer/shithole whatever it was when he starting looking in the "music" industry.

Don't you just hate people that can "afford" to do the poor boy act.

Didn't see the movie. Now I definately won't.

OK I'm alone here... I thought it was really good. Intense.... very far from any normal romantic comedy junk food film. I am not an Eminem fan, but I was impressed by his performance. He can act (better than Elvis too). I thought it was shot really well showing Detroit as one gloomy shit hole... Sure the story was a normal hero tale, but it was done with good film making. They could have made a suck movie about him a la Mr. Deeds, but this was surprisingly good.... just my humble opinion...

I'm with Milan. That sorry sack of crap doesn't deserve a penny of mine. I work too hard for it to hand it over to him.

"He can act (better than Elvis too)."

LOL Krisgot. If you want to give someone props, there's gotta be a better way.
