I am having problems connecting my S2000 to my
PC (with Windows 2000 installed), using SCSI.
I have an (I-Will SIDE-2930C Fast SCSI Adapter)
SCSI card installed.
When i turn on the Sampler the PC recognises it
as a new device (AKAI EMI S2000 SCSI processor
device) and asks for the drivers.
Do you need drivers for the sampler?
If so where can i get them?
I would much appreciate any help you can give me.
Cheers

try this. "install" it 8 times or whtaever it is, then itll show up as a "!" in your device manager. works on emus

someone else will come along with fake drivers for it, but I dont like that idea.

So you think it will work, even if the device manager has a "!" next to it?

What SCSI card do you use?
i am using a "I-Will SIDE-2930C Fast SCSI Adapter"
and i think that might be the cause of the problem...

i don't think it's your card, used to run mine off a £20 iomega zip accelerator (or something) i've installed my a3k as an unsupported device and windows 98 seems quite happy, it knows the name and it registers in things like recycle. i used to cancel the install 8 times on every startup which was tedious. if you can't sort it, get back and i'll do a step by step

Cheers mate,
It registers its there and knows the name of it, like yours does.
But MESA cant find the sampler. I have tried different ID numbers but no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

right, dunno MESA (wave editor/akai software? ), but you might need to connect midi in & out as well as the scsi. recycle does that but soundforge dosen't. also check your s2000 manual for 'bulk protect' (maybe an a3k thing)

btw my device manager has a ? (8 times), a ! suggests it's not working. go to device manager, choose your s2000, properties, driver tab, update driver, next, display a list etc., choose 'other devices', unsupported devices, next, yes, next, finish. you might have to do this 8 times.

other than that u'll have to get an akai head on the case.

or an akai headcase
