Hi,

Maby off topic (because not dance?), but do you know what scale 'I'm outa love' from Anastacia is? I can't figure it out (maby I haven't tried hard enough).

I read something about jazz chord progression rules somewhere in a post here, I think. What is that?

Not familiar with that song. Sorry. Any topic seems better than no one talking here though. Forum seemed pretty dead lately.

As far as jazz chords, as I understand it (and I ain't claiming any practical expertise here), they're using a lot of the same types of movements as pop, blues, etc., just with alterations and extensions (9ths, 11ths) and getting a little more sophisticated with voice leading. And doing a lot of modal soloing. I've seen quite a few jazz acts doing extended 12 bar blues workouts. Of course, other acts seen to completely throw out the rulebook.

figgered, as I understand sometime. workouts.
