The Evil Dark came from another solo project called Mechanized Warfare. In 2019 the new name also came with a new genre, instead of playing Aggrotech like in Mechanized Warfare, The Evil Dark plays music in the vein of Dark Synthwave, Minimal Synth, and related genres.
