This is the short version of my original song, go to www.mp3.com/dj_spyro to listen the entire track which is 15min long.
This song is a mix between genres, different cultures and places, when I say different genres is because it is a mix between techno/ambient music, classical music and ethnic music, that leads to a mixture between different cultures, in the track you can hear some classic italian/german music (don't quote me) and some music from india and asia.
This track mixes electronic sounds and acoustic instruments, some 16th century style vocals, pizzicato doublebasses, saxophone, an electronic bass, techno kick sound and some background pads, folk indian rithms and china percussion.
Vocals and some sax parts were slightly tuned using Antares Autotune ;)

Listen to the rythmic chaotic instrument.
A distant square is playing notes, a sequence from correct notes to totally insane others.
A melodic base, always playing the perfect notes, no error at all, adding even more contradiction to the music.
A melody, based on a sawtooth pad, is trying to play the better possible but some weird notes occur because the rythm is making all insane because its duality of perfect rythm but a terrbly chaotic pitch.
A man (priest) saying "we all here are towards the grave" makes that sort of broken satanic nintendo even more scary.
A kickdrum, which adds necesary emotion to the scene, but only used on strategic points followed by a groovy house hihat patterns.

Based on Chopin's E minor Prelude for piano, this is a Drum'n'Bass version using Bossa Nova stiles and Jazzy chords and a very little improvisation, the Sax played on the song was me.
One of the most important aspects of this song is the threatment of the Drum loop used, the objective was to make it the most complex and groovy possible without any repetition.
Enjoy it.

A Trip, Just take it.
This track is and experiment to fusion Drum'n'Bass, Techno and Ambient (I think) the fact is the song is a mixture between various genres, some voices was added, the most important characteristic of this song is the bass, it is a sequence of an sawtooth waveform filtered with a low pass one then recording the filter movements, it results in a very strange mix between bass and background sequence with a very rich sound, the song just begins as a techno, begining from the nothing and slowly becoming more rithmically complex to finally become a sort of Drum'n'Bass.
Give it a shot!
Anyway enjoy it. :)

Ambient track (well, I think is ambient but there is so many genres...it can be named house as well)
A Kick loop with a little variations from the cheesy four beats "Boom" "Boom" "Boom" "Boom" you know...
Added some groovy hihats in the background and some in the front, a voice saying "check this out" with an delay, some very groovy sawtooth line adding a jazzy taste, a breakbeat in some parts coming from the nothing and vanishing as well using filter cutoff and resonance, and a Vibratone making an "obstinato" that completes the frequencies range.
The target of this song was to make a House/Ambient mainly then add the instruments one by one, make some cuts and return to the main theme, another target was to use very different timbres to play with the colors and textures.
Enjoy it.
