In the fall 2003, in the upper most corner of Sweden, in a town called Luleå, A Sonic Sound Session started the recording of what was supposed to be their debut album. After a long mixing process, where 10 out of 11 songs where finished, the band decided to throw it all away and start from scratch. The result, an eight track EP titled "The Chips Kiesbye EP", was released at their own label "Joyless Jack Records". A vinyl single is planned to be released at the American label "The Dodo Empire".
A Sonic Sound Session´s main concern is to get a wide spread of the record, and are interested in cooperation with companies who would like to license the album, or alternatively, help out with the distribution.
A Sonic Sound Session are, Jens Wennberg (vocals and guitar), Fredrik Andersson (drums), and Johan Tieva (bass). The band and their second guitar player parted ways at the end of 2004, and the band are currently looking for a replacement. At the moment they use talented guitarists from other band´s for live gigs, but they hope to find a permanent member with the right chemistry.
Some History
It was back in -97 we could se the first fragment of what would later become A Sonic Sound Session. Fredrik and Jens decided to start a band, and the name was to be The Intoxicated. They played an high voltage type of thrashing garage punk rock, and used all their energy to punish their gear. As time passed, members where exchanged, and the band settled down somewhat and found it's own sound. Sometime during the summer of -02 the current crew had found each other and went by the name The Fallout Boys.
In the beginning of -03 they got a sweet gig from the national television company (SVT), they where to record a promo spot for the upcoming Swedish tryout for the Eurovision Song Contest. They ended up thrashing the classic ABBA song Waterloo, and about 3.5 million people saw the contest.
In November -03 they appeared on a compilation CD called "Reagera - agera" (react - act) released by Eye Will Drown Records with the song "Keep it up".
Eventually the guys felt that it was time to change name of the band, since they had found out that a bunch of American bands had realized what a fly band name they had and shamesly stole it. Well in December of -03 A Sonic Sound Session was born.
