Steve Wellington is not your ordinary producer, he is a multi-talented, mutli-faceted UK born-Jamaican grown and now London-based Guitarist, Songwriter, Producer and Performer.
He started playing guitar at 20 years of age but doesn’t restrict himself to one style of music.
He is however passionate about hard rock and his anti-establishment hip hop rock band PROJECT X. Their feverish entertaining performances at gigs prove to continually expand their fan base while they promote their powerful debut album ‘NEMESIS’, on sale via their website www.projectxworld.com
Where there is soul, a melody and lyrics involved, Steve is there with it. The last five years have seen Steve aka Dreadlox Holmes writing, producing and collaborating with numerous up and coming stars of the future.
He works with talented artists in all genres of music from rock to funk, R&B and Blues to Hip Hop, Jazz, Folk, Metal & Hardcore.

LIVE WORK & TOURING:
o 1989; Busking
o 1990; ''Singers Nightclub,'' accompanying all the performers with a piano player
o 1990- 92; Joined a funk rock band called ''Blackmail,'' playing lead and rhythm guitar. Featuring musicians from Skunk Anansie, Roachford, Ellis Beggs & Howard.
o 1992-94; Joined a band called ''Middleman,'' signed to EMI, made an EP,
toured the UK supporting ELO, then the east coast of AMERICA
o 1993: Played the guitar and sang backing vocals for Pauline Henry for the promotion of her Top 20 single ''Feel Like Making Love.'' Including UK TV and live German TV showcases.
o 1993-97: Formed a band called “Scrap Iron Scientists”. EP recorded and video made which saw band touring as the main band in small venues in London and supporting major artists such as IceT, the Stranglers, BioHazzard in Brixton Academy & Shepherds Bush Empire
o 1998: Played with a cover band in Saudi Arabia playing all styles of popular music.
o 1999: Formed a street band called P. Hunters. Played in Maldives during Millenium 2000
o 2000: Toured as a guitarist with the Roachford band
o 2001: Toured in France on the Ricard tour with Ton Ton David
o 2000-2005: Formed Project X, a hard core hip hop/rock band. Completed debut album ‘Nemesis’ in 2003 and have been touring all over the country since its release in August 2003. Single and accompanying video ‘Hate’ will be released later in 2005.
