Gabriel Black has now been producing for over 7 years, and djing for over 5. He maintains a small soundsystem and has thrown numerous indoor and outdoor parties, had his own radio show at minnesotas 103.3 KUMD; and held residancies in 3 metro areas. His most recent being Unity in San Francisco and Audience in the South Bay. He co-founded Sierra Recordings in 2002 with JJVaas whom he met while living in Minnesota. Gabriel had a release with Jay Tripwire in 2003. In the short time he has been on this journey with house, Gabriel Black has alread put out a full length cd of his own material, played in venues from Hawaii to florida including this years Winter Music Conference, and has found himself gracing the decks beside some of his major house music influences; such as Mazi, Asad Rizvi, Daniel Poli, Hipp-E, Rick Preston, Tom Baker, Dj Jaz, Adnan, Hector Morales, and Richard and Melanie Summerhayes . As well as Phil Smart, Robbie Hardkiss, Dj Rasoul, Tommy Sunshine, Natalie C, Dj Mea, Harry Who?, Dj Cantos, Baby Anne, Miss Lisa, M3, Mark Johns, Paul and Christopher Leath, Chris Jackson, Dj Camea and many, many more. His driving force is the stimulation of emotion thru sound; the voyage, the journey, losing yourself on the dancefloor..... and his music speaks for itself. Not sounding like anybody you've ever heard before, Gabe enjoys staying unpredictable by crossing genre lines while staying fluid with seamless mixing. So what does the future hold for this young player in the house music community? 2004 has already been quite eventful. Gabriel just got married in January to his beautiful and talented wife Justine. He just picked up a writing job for a local magazine. Another release with JJ including an EBE remix is already scheduled for release this year. He's got numerous tracks complete and ready to be shopped, and his DJ schedule is already picking up again after a brief hiatus.
