My passion for music began while at junior school, where I was infected with the Hip-Hop bug gripping the UK at the time (mid -80's). Artists like Whodini, Roxanne Shante and Captain Rock really caught my imagination, whilst Mike Allen's infamous Allen's Army on Maneuvers show on Capital FM (yes that's right, I said Capital!) and the Breakdance films fuelled my passion even further. This even lead to me and my friends forming a breakdance group - the Phoenix crew (I was the infamous knee shuffler!). From there I began to discover the acid house pirates quickly taking over London's airwaves and whilst at first I didn't quite get the vibe, this fresh new sound, really fascinated me. It didn't take long for house to take hold however and by mid 1990 I begun raving at places like Raindance, Telepathy, Labyrinth and the great one-off events at the Brixton Academy whilst avidly tuning in to the great pirates of the day - Fantasy, Friends and Pulse, to name but a few. Around the same time I began to pester my music teacher to teach me those great anthemic riffs I was hearing and I soon begun borrowing the schools music departments' electronic equipment (a Roland Juno 60, TR-707 and D-50) every holiday to further my investigations into this great new sound. From there I hooked up with Jake Williams (of drum and bass crew the Architex) and begun to produce rudimentary house/hardcore tracks in his studio. Since then I have gone on to form my own studio (kit list above) and refine my sound to encompass many different styles of music.
