Born in Lebanon in 1980 from a Lebanese father and a Belgian mother, Stephanie Merchak started to learn piano at 11. She later entered Beirut Conservatory where she studied solfeggio, musical theory, harmony, counterpoint...
After finishing high school, she went to Lebanese University to pursue studies in musical education and graduated in 2002. Then, at USEK University, she followed courses in various music related subjects (musical history, musical analysis, musical languages, acoustics, instrumentation and orchestration...).
Between 1999 and 2001, she played electric bass guitar in an Arabic music band.
Between 2002 and 2004, she sang in USEK choir (repertoire including Vivaldi, Mozart, Dvorak...).
She worked as producer's assistant in Alchemix studio at Mansourieh between September 2006 and May 2009. She's now working at Audiotakes Studio in Sabtieh (sound design, audio recording and editing...).
She has been composing electronic music since 2004.
She won the second prize in the first edition of Radio Liban 96.2 Contest and played her music for the first time on March 1st 2009 at the Basement in Beirut. She's now working on her first EP that will be released by Lebanese label Incognito.
